Our Favorite Food This Week: L’Artisan des Glaces Ice Cream
Location: L’Artisan des Glaces, France, Epcot
Cost: $3.99 1 scope / $6.10 2 scopes

Welcome to this week’s Favorite Food Friday where we share our favorite foods with our friends.  This week we are sharing another sweet treat, yes summer might be coming to an end, but ice cream season never ends.   On this day we went into L’Artisan des Glaces in France at Epcot where there are around 16 flavors of hand-crafted frozen treats to choose from every day.    I picked the Cinnamon, Caramelized Apple & Crumble Crunch, which sounded like a fall type flavor.   It was very good, I wish it had a bit more of the apple and crumble but overall it was a great treat in the afternoon at Epcot.

Our Favorite Food This Week: Chocolate Covered Pineapple Spear
Location: In many gift shops – we found ours at Big Top Souvenirs at the Magic Kingdom
Cost: $4.29

Welcome to this week’s Favorite Food Friday where we share our favorite foods with our friends.  This week we are sharing a sweet treat we found at Big Top Souvenirs at the Magic Kingdom.   At first we weren’t too sure about this but wanted to try something different.   The pineapple slice is large and juicy so be prepared to make a mess.    The chocolate coat was thick and added just the right amount of sweetness to complement the acidity of the pineapple.    Overall a great combination and a healthy snack, right, I mean it is fruit :).    What’s your favorite “healthy” snack at the parks?

Favorite Food Friday - Earl of Sandwich - DisneyDayByDay

Our Favorite Food This Week: Chipotle Chicken Avocado
Location: Earl of Sandwich – Disney Springs
Cost: $6.49

Welcome to this week’s Favorite Food Friday where we share our favorite foods with our friends.  I know we have included Earl of Sandwich on Favorite Food Friday before, but it is our favorite quick bite while in Downtown Disney (Disney Springs).   On this trip I was looking for something with a bit of a kick, I chose the Chipotle Chicken Avocado Sandwich.   The sandwich was great with cut pieces of grilled chicken, bacon, cheddar, fresh avocado, lettuce and a chipotle sauce.   The sauce definitely had the kick that I was looking for and made for another successful lunch at Earl of Sandwich.

Favorite Food Friday – Salmon and Egg Sandwich

Favorite Food Friday - Salmon and Egg Sandwich - DisneyDayByDay

Our Favorite Food This Week: Salmon and Egg Sandwich
Location: Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe, Norway Pavilion – Epcot
Cost: $8.49

Welcome to this week’s Favorite Food Friday where we share our favorite foods with our friends.  And friends, I would have never imagined putting up a Salmon and Egg item for Favorite Food Friday, but this sandwich surprised us.   As we entered the Norway pavilion my wife said, let’s get something new, just grab whatever and let’s try it.    As I walked into the Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe I saw this literally staring at me from the deli case.    So I purchased it thinking I would be back in soon to get something else after we tried it.  But, no, we were surprised, actually liked it and even finished it.   The Sandwich is simply an open faced smoked salmon served on toasted sourdough bread with a goat cheese spread, onion, and two hard boiled egg slices.   Overall the flavor of the salmon worked well with the cheese and we didn’t have to go in for something else.   If you like salmon, don’t pass this one up, you will enjoy it.

Favorite Food Friday - Typhoon Lagoon - Island Burger - DisneyDayByDay

Our Favorite Food This Week: Island Burger
Location: Typhoon Lagoon – Leaning Palms
Cost: $10.49

Welcome to this week’s Favorite Food Friday where we share our favorite foods with our friends.  Bring out the horns, Bring out the drums, (clearing my throat) – It’s official I have a new favorite Burger at Walt Disney World….. the Island Burger.    The Island Burger can be found at the Leaning Palms at Typhoon Lagoon.   Our burger was cooked just right and had more of a charcoal flavor than any burger I have had on property.   To top it off there was Monterey Jack cheese, Barbecue Pork, and Pineapple.   Yes Pineapple folks, to carry over that sweet kick you get from the BBQ sauce.   Oh my this was oh so good, loved it, and wanted to go back for another.    The burger also comes with your choice of Apple Slices or French Fries.   So, tell me your favorite burger on property, then I have to do a research trip to compare…..

As we sit here tonight watching the weather closely, stay safe fellow Floridians.
