Our Favorite Food This Week:  All American Sundae
Location: Plaza Ice Cream Parlor – Magic Kingdom
Cost: $5.39

Welcome to this week’s Favorite Food Friday where we share our favorite foods with our friends.   This week we are sticking around the Magic Kingdom and featuring another great dessert.  As you wonder down Main Street USA you are bound to work up an appetite.    One of our favorite places to stop is the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor.    The parlor features many different varieties of ice cream treats.   This week we are featuring the All-American Sundae which is filled with old-fashioned vanilla and chocolate ice cream with hot fudge, peanut butter drizzle, whipped cream, and a cherry.   I know my mouth is watering too.   The sundae is always amazing, but some days, like the one above, you may get a bit more topping than ice cream.   Be sure to stop in at the Plaza on your next trip to the park.

Favorite Food Friday : Gourmet Cake Cup

Cheshire Cafe - Cake Cup - DisneyDayByDay

Our Favorite Food This Week:  Gourmet Cake Cup
Location: Cheshire Cafe – Magic Kingdom
Cost: $4.59

Welcome to this week’s Favorite Food Friday where we share our favorite foods with our friends.   This week we head back to our favorite park, the Magic Kingdom.   We take a right at the castle, head toward the Tea Cups, and stop at the Cheshire Cafe for a gourmet cake cup.   Yes, folks cake in a cup, how amazing is that.   Plus it’s gourmet so how can you pass it up.    The cake cups are layered, cake, frosting, cake, frosting, cake, big heap o frosting.   The varieties available do vary, but on the day we visited there were two available.   The Queen of Hearts Strawberry Shortcake and the Cheshire Cupcake.   The Cheshire is a standard white cake/vanilla frosting so we tried the strawberry shortcake.    It was very good, but you must be a fan of sweet treats.   Even our sweet tooth found us pushing aside some of the abundance of frosting to enjoy some of the cake and strawberries.   Overall a very sweet treat and something that I would purchase again.

Min & Bill's Dockside Diner - Hollywood Studios - DisneyDayByDay

Our Favorite Food This Week:  BBQ Pulled Pork Mac & Cheese
Location: Min & Bill’s Dockside Diner – Hollywood Studios
Cost: $9.99

Welcome to this week’s Favorite Food Friday where we share our favorite foods with our friends.   This week we wanted to spend a little time with the Sorcerer’s Hat before it’s all gone, so we headed over to Hollywood Studios.   We didn’t wander far from the hat as we stopped at Min & Bill’s Dockside Diner for a quick snack.   I had heard a lot about the new Mac & Cheese items that have popped up here and at other parks.   Min & Bill’s has two new Mac & Cheese dishes:  Buffalo Chicken and BBQ Pulled Pork.   I went with the BBQ Pulled Pork and I was blown away by it.   First off, I have always loved Disney’s Mac & Cheese, so take that and add a nice helping of BBQ pulled pork with little fat and you have an amazing meal.   To be honest I really didn’t think it was going to be as good as it was.    I will definitely stop here again.   Be sure to check it out, hopefully rumors aren’t true but we have heard that Min & Bill’s along with all of Echo lake may be removed to make way for the Star Wars additions.

Favorite Food Friday – Trilo-Bite Milk Shake

Trilo-Bites - Animal Kingdom - DisneyDayByDay

Our Favorite Food This Week:  Milk Shake
Location: Trilo-Bite – Animal Kingdom
Cost: $4.49

Welcome to this week’s Favorite Food Friday where we share our favorite foods with our friends.   This week we go for a classic snack – a hand dipped milk shake at the Animal Kingdom.    Yes these are hand dipped and mixed rather than coming from a shake machine and they are oh soo good on a hot day at the park.   The one downfall here is the paper straws.   I was only about half way through my shake before the straw started to disintegrate.   So be sure to grab a couple straws if you get one.

California Adventure - Paradise Garden Grill

Our Favorite Food This Week:  Mediterranean Skewers
Location: Paradise Garden Grill – California Adventure Park
Cost: $11.99

Welcome to this week’s Favorite Food Friday where we share our favorite foods with our friends.   This week we head to the west coast and to one of my favorite meals at Disney’s California Adventure.   The Mediterranean Skewers at Paradise Garden Grill are amazing.   When ordering your skewer you select the meat or veggie and then the sauce.   The meat/veggie choices are Grilled Steak, Lemon-Oregano Chicken, Spicy Meatball, and Grilled Tofu with Veggies.   After this selection you pick your sauce, they have 3 to choose from Chili(spicy tomato sauce, harissa chili, and garlic), Chimichurri (Fresh Herbs, citrus, garlic and olive oil), and Tzatziki (cucumber, garlic, lemon juice, and greek yogurt).  You know me, I had to go wtih the one that I had no idea how to pronounce Tzatziki.   Pronunciation or not it was darn good.   Your skewers come with rice pilaf, cucumber salad, and pita bread.   It’s a big meal so feel free to invite a friend, comment below and I’ll send you my number :).
