Our Favorite Food This Week: Frozen Coke
Location: Drinkwallah, Animal Kingdom
Cost: $3.99 (add rum $8.25)

Welcome to this week’s Favorite Food Friday where we share our favorite foods with our friends.   It’s summer hot these days and the afternoon rains are here, what better time to enjoy a frozen coke.   You can find many frozen items throughout the parks, but one item that my son always has to have at Animal Kingdom is a frozen coke at Drinkwallah.   And for you adults out there, yes you can add rum to this frozen treat.   The paper straws are not that fun, but you will enjoy this frozen treat so quickly you won’t even notice.    Hope you and your family have a safe and happy 4th of July!

Our Favorite Food This Week: Churros con Caramel Sauce
Location: La Cantina de San Angel, Epcot Mexico
Cost: $4.25

Welcome to this week’s Favorite Food Friday where we share our favorite foods with our friends.   How many of you would like a sweet treat as you explore Epcot?   How many of you love to grab a churro at one of the food carts around the parks?  If you still have your hand up then you need to give these a try.   One of our favorite treats are the Churros that can be found at La Cantina de San Angel which is the counter service location in Mexico at Epcot.   These churros are always fresh and warm and also include a caramel sauce to dip them in.   Yep, you can dip just about anything in caramel sauce and it would be good, I know.

Welcome to this week’s Favorite Food Friday where we share our favorite foods with our friends.   I love me some BBQ so I always have to give the BBQ sandwiches a try.   On this trip we stayed at Port Orleans Riverside and we headed up to the Riverside Mill Food Court where I found a toasted pork sandwich with coleslaw.   I chose to have the slaw on the side but ended up adding it to the sandwich because it was so good.   There are a few sides to choose from including the fries pictured and more slaw.

Ground Beef Kabob Flatbread - Favorite Food Friday - DisneyDayByDay

Our Favorite Food This Week:  Ground Beef Kabob Flatbread
Location: Harambe Market – Animal Kingdom
Cost: $9,49

Welcome to this week’s Favorite Food Friday where we share our favorite foods with our friends.   On our trip last week to celebrate DisneyDayByDay Jr’s birthday we headed over to Animal Kingdom to try out the new food at the Harambe Market.   This new area in Harambe is nestled into the back corner near the path to the Wildlife Express Train.   The market offers up some great new food with some delicious African flare.   There were many new items to choose from but I selected the Ground Beef Kabob Flatbread.    This Flatbread is filled with spiced beef, cucumber, and diced tomatoes all in a yogurt style sauce.   Overall I really enjoyed the sandwich and ended up sharing it with DisneyDayByDay Jr as he liked it more than his kid’s meal.   The cold broccoli salad side was not as good as the main dish.   This is definitely something that I would get again at the market.

World Premiere Food Court - Ice Cream Cookie Sandwich - DisneyDayByDay

Our Favorite Food This Week:  Ice Cream Cookie Sandwich
Location: World Premiere Food Court, All Star Movies Resort
Cost: $5.29

Welcome to this week’s Favorite Food Friday where we share our favorite foods with our friends.   Oh boy, let’s see if we can make it through this weeks post without too much drool on my keyboard.   You all know about my addiction and the failure of the 12 step program.   This week we are talking Ice Cream and Cookies, put them together and wham bam boom you got an ice cream sandwich.  Oh yeah does Disney do these right.   These guys consist of two oven fresh chocolate chip cookies and your choice of any flavor ice cream that they are currently serving.   This means your treat can taste different with each visit, and watch for special events when they have fun flavors to try.    I love these, but they do melt fast on those hot summer days, on this trip we had the luxury of enjoying it in the AC in the World Premiere Food Court at the All Star Movies Resort.    You can also find these in the parks including the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor on Main Street USA at the Magic Kingdom.   mmmm what’s your favorite treat to cool off with?

Favorite Food Friday – Pot Roast Macaroni and Cheese

Favorite Food Friday – Pot Roast Macaroni and Cheese

Favorite Food Friday - Pot Roast Macaroni and Cheese - DisneyDayByDay

Our Favorite Food This Week:  Pot Roast Macaroni and Cheese
Location: Friar’s Nook, Magic Kingdom
Cost: $8.99

Welcome to this week’s Favorite Food Friday where we share our favorite foods with our friends.   This week we head over to the Magic Kingdom to try one of the items we have heard a lot about, the pot roast mac and cheese.   First off, we love the kid approved Disney Mac and Cheese.   Yes, I have been seen borrowing items from the kid’s selection at the buffets.    So adding a large helping of perfectly cooked juicy pot roast to this mac and cheese makes for a great combination.   At first is doesn’t look like a lot, but this is more than enough to share with a couple friends for an afternoon snack.   It is hot and rich though so it might not be something I go out of the way for on a hot summer day, but this fit the bill for our early spring trip.    There is also limited covered outdoor seating around the Friar’s Nook so be prepared to sit in the sun.
