This week’s favorite food comes from Disneyland and the Hungry Bear Restaurant. As you explore Critter Country if you get hungry head over to the rustic Hungry Bear for some good food and great views. Our selection this week is the Pioneer Chili Cheeseburger which is 1/3 lb. chuck burger with homestyle chili, cheese and hand battered onion ring. Yes that the onion ring showing and not the burger.
The burger itself was good, but the chili was a bit dry for my taste. I think it is made that way to keep it on the sandwich. The onion ring is large and is used to hold the chili on the burger. The sweet potato fries were good and a nice change from your standard fries. What is your favorite meal at the Hungry Bear?
My husband would love this meal! I’m not a fan of chili, but the onion ring and fries look delicious!

Interesting concept – chili on a burger. I’d say it works better on a hot dog because of the difference in the buns. I’m always apprehensive to order sweet potato fries because I only like them crispy – these look PERFECT! Thanks for sharing.
