For our upcoming Mother’s Day Weekend Getaway, we added a great pool to our selection criteria. As we all know the deluxe resorts all have great pools so what about the water slide. Which Deluxe has the longest water slide at Walt Disney World? (insert Jeopardy music here)
And the winner is – Yacht and Beach Club!! This 3 acre beachside water park is a blast for the whole family. With around 800,000 gallons of water there is everything from sand-bottom pools, lazy river, whirlpool spas, and our soon to be favorite 230 foot long waterslide (also one of the highest at Walt Disney World Resort).
So how did everyone else stacked up:
- 230 Feet – Yacht and Beach Club
- 200 Feet – Boardwalk
- 181 Feet – Grand Floridian (click to ride)
- 144 Feet – Contemporary (stands 17 feet high, click to ride) – 148 Feet at Bay Lake Tower
- 142 Feet – Polynesian Resort Village
- 67 Feet – Wilderness Lodge
- 67 Feet – Animal Kingdom Lodge – 128 Feet at the Villas
My guess was Yacht and Beach Club. That pool is like its own little water park! I need to stay there sometime just so I can use the pool! Great trivia!
I know – that’s exactly what we are doing this weekend. I’ll let you know if it lives up to the hype.
I would have actually guessed that one right. One of these days, I’m actually going to ride that thing. It looks like a total blast.
Yes it does – the entire pool area looks amazing.
I love the water slides at Disney! There is one more that should be on this list – the 146′ long slide at the Paddock Pool at Saratoga Springs. It’s fast and a lot of fun!
