Favorite Food Friday – Disney Cruise Ice Cream Cones

Our Favorite Food This Week: Ice Cream Cone – Disney Cruise
Location: Disney Cruise Line
Price: Cost of Cruise 🙂

Welcome to Favorite Food Friday where we share our favorite foods.    We have been back from our cruise for a week now and how I miss just walking up to deck 11 and grabbing a soft serve ice cream cone.    You all know how addicted I am to Ice Cream, so having these machines available whenever you want is like living a dream or a fantasy :).   Our week on the Fantasy was met with my son and I catching a bug on the boat, but we did our best to push through and do everything we had planned to do, and one of those things was visiting deck 11 for as much ice cream as we could take in.    For those who have not had a chance to experience a Disney Cruise, there is soft serve ice cream available for cones or cups – our cruise featured – vanilla, chocolate, twisted vanilla and chocolate, banana, strawberry, and twisted strawberry and banana.    As you can see from the pic, twisted strawberry and banana was a favorite of mine.   So let’s hear it, how many cones do you eat on a 7 day cruise????

This week’s theme: Foodie Fare

When it comes to Disney Food, my mind drifts to Disney Cruises.  Where else can you eat what you want when you want and then order room service.

Welcome to this week’s Favorite Food Friday where we share our favorite foods with our friends.  Last week we were sailing away aboard the Disney Fantasy on the Halloween on the High Seas.   We had an amazing time as always and can’t wait for our next Disney Cruise.   We always make our way to the port early in the morning – just getting a small bite to eat, knowing that Cabana’s is in our future.   As you board the ship there are only a few places to explore as you await for the staterooms to open.   You can explore the kids club areas, swim or take on the Aqua Duck, or go fill your face at the all you can eat buffet.  You can guess were we headed :).    Cabana’s is huge as it takes up a large part of deck 11 aft, there are basically two (one on either side of the ship) almost identical buffets meeting at a carving station (omelet station in the mornings) in the back of the ship.    There are always a good variety of foods available along with a selection of breads and fruits.   Don’t miss the desserts, my wife and I always get a variety of them to try.   Cabanas is open for most meals throughout your cruise, so just check the navigator for the times.   What’s your favorite item at Cabanas?

Welcome to this week’s Favorite Food Friday where we share our favorite foods with our friends.  Last week we were cruising on the Disney Fantasy , oh how hard it is to get back into the “regular things” in life after spending a week at sea.   Our son still expects – appetizer, soup, entree and dessert with each meal :).   We had an amazing time as always, and we will be sharing more with you in the coming weeks.   As we board the ship one of our first stops is always Cabanas.    Cabanas is located on Deck 11 Aft and stretches across the ship from port to starboard side.  Yes it’s huge, so much so that if you are meeting up with people it’s not enough to just say – “Meet at Cabanas”.   We always see people trying to find their families.    Cabanas offers a huge selection of different foods in buffet style, each side of the ship features a buffet with the same offerings.   In the middle of the two buffets at the very aft (back) of the ship you will find the custom omelet station in the morning and the meat carving station at lunch and dinner.    In our picture above you can see one of the buffets along with a plate of mashed potatoes, roll, steamed veggies, turkey, beef, and of course a cookie.  Yummmm   What’s your favorite buffet item or place to eat on a Disney Cruise?
