Easy 3 ingredient dip

Our Favorite Food This Week: Easy Three Ingredient Dip
Location: Your house

Welcome to this week’s Favorite Food Friday where we share our favorite foods with our friends.  This week we are stepping away from the parks so I can share with you something that my sister introduced us to many years ago.  It’s easy and it’s addictive, so be careful.    At family gatherings we love to snack, one simple snack is this easy 3 ingredient dip, not sure what the real name of it is, but it’s easy and 3 ingredients so we will go with that.   The three things you will need are (1) 8 oz package of creme cheese (2) a 15 oz can of no bean chili (3) 1 cup shredded cheese (Colby-Jack is our preference).  Take the cream cheese and press it into a glass pie dish, using the back of a spoon works well for this.   Then spread the no bean chili on top.  Then add your shredded cheese.   Bake at 350 for around 20 minutes and wham bam you have an amazing dip.   We enjoy ours with Frito’s Scoops, but you can also use your favorite tortilla chip.   Cook this up for any gathering and it won’t last long, and if it does last it can easily be stored in the fridge and reheated in the microwave or oven.    Is your mouth watering yet………

Solo A Star Wars Story Cupcake

Our Favorite Food This Week: Solo – A Star Wars Story Cupcake
Location: Hollywood Studios, ABC Commissary
Price:  $5.99 DDP Snack Eligible

Welcome to this week’s Favorite Food Friday where we share our favorite foods with our friends.  This week we traveled over to Hollywood Studios to check out the Solo, A Star Wars Story cupcake to see if it will do better at the box office than the film did.   Overall it was delicious, the chocolate cake was moist and the cookie buttercream frosting had just the right amount of sweetness to keep you coming back for more.   The “rock” on it were similar to an M&M, but with a thicker candy coat.   If you are a cupcake fan you won’t be disappointed in this one.

Favorite Food Friday – Griddled Maple Pound Cake

Favorite Food Friday – Griddled Maple Pound Cake

Our Favorite Food This Week: Griddled Maple Pound Cake
Location: Epcot, Flower and Garden Festival, Northern Bloom Booth
Price:  $4.50 DDP Snack Eligible

Welcome to this week’s Favorite Food Friday where we share our favorite foods with our friends.  Sticking with our cake theme from last week, this week we tried the Griddled Maple Pound Cake which is available at the Northern Bloom Booth just outside Canada at Epcot’s Flower and Garden Festival.    Yes, that is caramel corn on the plate and it was the perfect complement to this dish.   The description of the cake is Griddled Maple Pound Cake Served with Warm Peach Compote and Sweet Corn Gelato.   The compote (fruit preserved or cooked in syrup) did have some pieces of peach in it, but the overarching flavor comes from the sweet corn gelato.   If you like kettle corn, sweet corn, or caramel corn you will enjoy this dish.

Favorite Food Friday – Banana Maple Cake

Favorite Food Friday – Banana Maple Cake

Our Favorite Food This Week: Banana Maple Cake
Location: Flame Tree Barbecue, Animal Kingdom
Price:  $4.99

Welcome to this week’s Favorite Food Friday where we share our favorite foods with our friends.  When you think of Flame Tree BBQ at the Animal Kingdom, I know you think of the amazing BBQ and the sweet sauce with a great view of Everest, but have you tried any of their desserts?  On our last trip we spotted this and had to give it a try.   It’s the Banana Maple Cake – multilayered Vanilla Chiffon Cake with Banana Maple Mousse topped with White Chocolate Glaze and a crunchy Meringue.   The cake was super moist and had a great banana taste, but we didn’t get much of a maple flavor.  Yes I just had to keep eating it just in case there was maple that I was missing.   If you like banana be sure to give this a try on your next trip.

Cheeseburger Pods

Our Favorite Food This Week: Cheeseburger Pods
Location: Satu’li Canteen – Animal Kingdom
Price:  $10.99

Welcome to this week’s Favorite Food Friday where we share our favorite foods with our friends.  This week we venture into Animal Kingdom and Pandora – The World of Avatar to check out Satu’li Canteen and the highly anticipated Cheeseburger Pods.   The Pods are stuffed with seasoned ground beef, ketchup, mustard, pickle, and cheddar cheese and accompanied by root vegetable chips and vegetable slaw.  The entire plate was very good and had great flavor.   The pod “bun” is a bit sweet, sort of like a Hawaiian bun, but there was just a little too much of it.   As you can see in our picture above I would have liked a little more meat and a bit less bun.  This makes a great meal if you have picky eaters in your party who don’t want to try some of the other delicious meals.    Overall this is something I would get again and would recommend you give them a try on your next trip.   Have you tried them?   What did you think?
