Did you know today’s Tiggerific Tuesday Trivia about Disney’s Pin Trading?
Have you gotten into the craze of pin trading? On our last trip our son decided to start trading and what an experience it is. Collectors can trade with cast members for a new pin as much as they want…or all day long as our son did! It was certainly interesting to see what he ended up with at the end of the day What a thrill it is! The concept here is pretty easy – you have pins and someone else has pins – you review each other’s pins and negotiate a trade. And just like that each of you has a new pin. Many of the cast members have pins and here’s a bit of trivia…. On any given day at the Disney parks over 250,000 pins are available from cast members for trading. Hmm let’s see at $10 bucks a pop, yeah that’s a huge investment for the pin trading community. Pin trading started at the Walt Disney Resort in Oct of 1999. Since the onset of trading, over 400 million pins have been traded, was one of them yours?

Yes it is 🙂
That’s a lot of pins! I have a small collection but have only traded a couple with friends. I’m afraid if I start, there will be no stopping it, lol! Thanks for linking up!
Yes, I do have to say it does become an addiction. Our son kept saying, “I just have to trade one more time then we can go…..”
LOL! I don’t trade vinyls either – I like them too much 😉
We traded pins when my oldest son was younger, but haven’t gotten into that craze with the younger boys yet! I’m sure we will next trip!! Thanks for the trivia!
That’s a lot of pin trading!! They probably only cost disney like 25 cents a piece, but that’s a ton for the rest of us! Thanks for linking it up!
Wow – that is an amazing number of pins! My kids all enjoy pin-trading. I recently started my own collection – but I only purchase pins that I want to keep. I doubt I’ll ever get into trading, but it’s been great fun for my children – and I think it’s a great way to teach them manners, etc!
