Maharajah Jungle Trek
Ever wanted to visit the wilds of Asia but never got the chance? This self-guided trail is the perfect place to get a taste for the wildlife in Asia. Tigers, massive Fruit bats, and a large netted area devoted to birds, there’s something for everyone. You won’t only see animals, you’ll also head through temple ruins and over bridges while you uncover your next find. Not only will people of all ages love the sight-seeing, but look out for interactive stations where you can learn more, touch objects and kids can even earn their merit badge.
Fun Fact: The bats are Malayan Flying Fox, they have a wingspan of up to 6 feet and are considered one of the largest bats. They may not look pretty, but they are harmless and only feed on fruit and nectar. Notice there is no glass between you and the bats 🙂
Warning: these trails can get busy and at times it’s hard to get up close enough to see the animals. If they are a must, visit them early. If you can’t get there early, then just be patient. You’ll get your turn.
Great way to see the animals up close and escape from the crowds of the park for a bit.
