Our Favorite Food This Week: Beer-battered Onion Rings

Welcome to this week’s Favorite Food Friday where we share our favorite foods with our friends. One of our favorite spots at Hollywood Studios is 50’s Prime Time, maybe it’s the counters that remind me of my grandparents house, maybe it’s the way they treat you like family, or maybe just maybe it’s the darn good food. There are a couple things that I’m a big fan of, ice cream,as you all know, and Onion Rings. There are not too many places to find Onion Rings on property, but the Beer Battered Onion Rings at 50’s Prime time are a good start. The rings come out in a small frying basket and are served with a Horseradish Sauce, but we opted for Ranch. Overall very tasty and something I would definitely get again. Our Favorite Food This Week: Island Swizzle Ice Tea

Welcome to this week’s Favorite Food Friday where we share our favorite foods with our friends. It’s warming up out there, even in the future of Tomorrowland it’s hot and we need our caffeine. Joffrey’s Coffee and & Tea Company now has a location in Tomorrowland at the Magic Kingdom. Right next to the dance party – so get hydrated and get down. Above is a picture of the Island Swizzle Ice Tea, one of my favorite ways to cool off. This tea is mixed with tropical fresh fruit flavors including passion fruit, orange, and guava. Be sure to visit Joffrey’s at their new Revive location.

Our Favorite Food This Week: Jamaican-braised Beef
Location: LA ISLA FRESCA booth at the Epcot Flower and Garden Festival

Welcome to this week’s Favorite Food Friday where we share our favorite foods with our friends. This past weekend we were hanging out at the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival enjoying all the flowers and of course the FOOD. As we circled the globe and tried items from many of the booths, we kept comparing them to our favorite dish of the day…. the Jamaican-braised Beef with Pigeon Pea Rice and Micro Cilantro. This beef was so tender it just broke apart with the fork and had a mouth watering flavor. It was bar far our favorite dish of the festival. This festival does not have as many food booths as the Food and Wine, but they have added more food booths each year. It’s a great time sampling food, hope you get a chance to check it out and let us know what your favorite food of the festival was.

Our Favorite Food This Week: Chicken Parmesan
Location: Pinocchio Village Haus, Magic Kingdom, Walt Disney World

Welcome to this week’s Favorite Food Friday where we share our favorite foods with our friends. On our last trip we decided to stop in at Pinocchio’s at the Magic Kingdom since we hadn’t been there in awhile. We always love to sit at the window seats and wave to those beginning their it’s a small world voyage. Food here has changed some in the last few years, so we selected a few different items. My wife picked the Chicken Parmesan and this seemed to be all of our favorite. It’s a standard mix of flavors, a breaded chicken breast, pasta, and sauce. The chicken breast was a good size portion and was very moist. The pasta was cooked well and the sauce added a bit of flavor to the dish, we would have liked a few more spices in the sauce to add a bit more favor. Overall we would order this dish again. Don’t forget to sit by the windows and wave.

Our Favorite Food This Week: Tacos de Carne

Welcome to this week’s Favorite Food Friday where we share our favorite foods with our friends. Today we take a look at a meal we had on our last visit to Epcot. I apologize for the pictures above, if you have ever been to or walked past San Angel Inn you know how dark it is in this area. The food tasted much better than my pictures 🙂 It’s actually been a few years since we have sat down for a meal here, but after this meal we will be adding it to our list of favorites. The meal starts with a round of crisp chips served with both Mild and Hot Salsa. Both were good, my wife preferred the mild while our son and I liked the hot better. Do you best to not fill up on these as we always do, because your tasty meal is next. Both my wife and I selected the Tacos de Carne these are Grilled New York strip on flour tortillas, topped with chipotle pepper sauce, scallions and avocado, served with rice and refried black beans. You get three of these taco’s filled with juicy grilled New York Strip. The taste and portion side were perfect for us and afterward we all discussed returning again.
